‪So, check out our idea of the perfect day in Wasaga Beach.
#1: Breakfast on your own patio overlooking the Nottawasaga River
Start your day right - have a nice cup of coffee and your breakfast on one of our patios overlooking the river. The scenic view at the Nancy Island Historic Site with its Lighthouse is just incredible and has to be experienced personally.
#2: Have a blast at the Beach and in the Provincial Park
Now enjoy Wasaga Beach for what it is famous for - over 18 km of sandy white beach and the good news is that it is literally steps away. Just cross the street and Main Beach (Beach Area One & Two) and Provincial Park are in front of you. It is only 2 minutes walk away - just across the street!
#3: Check out Beach Area 1 for some souvenirs
After relaxing at the beach, let's get active! Stop by Pedro's Shop, a Wasaga Beach institution, which offers everything you need for a perfect beach day. Postcards, souvenirs, beach gear, ice cream and much more... Later you can play a round of Mini Golf at Skull Island - a special mini golf course. If you are still in the mood for fun, rent a jet ski, canoe, go stand-up paddling or let the wheels burn at Wasaga 500 Go Kart.
#4: Discover Nancy Island Historic Site
Check out the Nancy Island Historic Site with a museum, theater and lighthouse marking the site of HMS Nancy's August 14, 1814 battle against three American schooners.
‪Learn about the battle, the courageous crew that later captured two of the American vessels, their involvement in the War of 1812 and the early days as a trading vessel. The lighthouse, which is accessible, is just across from Hollywood Cottages and gives you a nice view of the river.
#5: Have a great dinner at Catch22 or Barcelos
